Wednesday, October 6th

We have had an exciting week in school.  The students did a wonderful job on the Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA).  We will have the results around Thanksgiving.  Today we finished our first Math Investigations unit.  I just graded the assessments and the students did an excellent job.  Tomorrow we will start our next unit on data.

This week we do not have a spelling contract.  Every three weeks we review our spelling words.  If the students do not miss any on Monday, they do not have to take the spelling test on Friday.  We do not complete a spelling contract since the words are review.

Have a great evening.  Continue to practice your addition and subtraction facts.

September 27th

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I apologize for the reading logs not being sent home on Thursday.  I was not at school due to balanced literacy training.

Today we are trying something new.  I sent home the spelling contract for homework.  Each student needs to do 30 points in order to receive an O.  They have until Friday to earn up to 30 points.  The spelling contracts are due on Friday.  Your child understands what is needed on the spelling contract.

Tonight's homework:
Reading Log
Spelling Contract

Have a nice evening!
